There was jubilation and celebration was witnessed in poleko village,Amori ward ward in pajwenda town council while officials for German based donors commissioned two boreholes and a six stance girls toilet at Ajwam primary school a community based private primary school in pajwenda town council tororo district.
Mary Omita the poleko village Local council one commended Sound of hope for efforts put for them safe water promising guard them jealously she commended Xenia Huegel for lobbying for this project adding women have been looking for water they go to long distance
Ms Omita adds it has reduced on domestic violence cases reported by women who go to look for water far when they come home they get angry husband’s who have charged and end up being beaten she says the presence of the water fountain near will safeguarded marriages since before the building of the borehole poleko village being near a swampy area many families could not be able to afford the cost of getting clean water and diahorrea was high but today thanks to Sounds of hope Germany people of poleko village panjwenda town council toro district in Uganda have access to clean water.
Owino Stanley the pajwenda town council community development officer while representing the town clerk commended efforts by GRO foundation,sounds of hope,kollegah,Tanja and Xenia Huegel for complimenting government services calling upon other organizations and we’ll wishers to follow suit by action without conditions towards meeting the needs of the local communities in Uganda and more so pajwenda town council in tororo district in Uganda.
The pajwenda district councillor Casius Othieno commended efforts by the donors and requested the donors to support the town council with five hundred thousand tree seedlings and his desire would be if the seedlings would be distributed to all the wards in town council so that the environment can be protected in pajwenda town council in a bid to fight climate change as he commended the donors in transformation of the lives of the people of tororo district most especially in pajwenda town council poleko village
Hon Othieno committed governments support as they continue complimenting government programs in tororo district and ugannda.
Pastor Olowo Daniel from Ajwam ministries commended GRO foundation Germany for supporting countless number of widows and orphans in pajwenda town council as he also commended seed of hope for supporting two villages with two boreholes worth millions invested by this donor he also appreciated another donor Kollegah for supporting Ajwam primary school with a six stance toilet,Tanja and Xenia Huegel for their contributions and support
Onbehalf of other donors Ms Huegel Xenia the Programs cordinator GRO foundation commended the community upon receiving this donationations as she tasked them to use well the boreholes.
Ms Huegel promised a continues cooperation adding widows had requested for startups however they will lobby on start ups for widows adding GRO foundation will provide five hundred thousand tree seedlings
As a single mother she rallied young girls in Ajwam primary school in poleko village to focus on their books avoid early marriage and put all their attention to the great future ahead of them.
Xenia planted ended the day by planting a tree and cut a cake since she was celebrating her birthday first time in the African continent.
