Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine, a singer and politician, has claimed that fellow singer Joseph Mayanja alias Chameleone has recently been doing strange things on stage, which is why he did not attend his first Gwanga Mujje Concert.
Bobi Wine stated in an interview with NBS TV that he does not agree with Chameleone’s recent public actions, stating that associating with him would imply that he condones his behaviour.
“There have been strange things he has done even on stage; if I attend his concert and he does such things again, people may hold such actions against me,” Bobi said.
“Many people have already accused me of such things without any basis, so attending that concert would have given them more leeway,” he added.
During the Gwanga Mujje concert last month, Jose Chameleon plucked his lips onto those of his biological brother Douglas Mayanja alias Weasel.
Chameleone claimed that he kissed Weasel out of excitement. Later, he apologised.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise to my fans and friends…Most of my friends were deeply offended and did not take it lightly. I deeply apologise…it was simply too much energy and excitement. I feel bad about it. The energy was simply too high, and it was the wrong way to share it with Weasel, my brother, for which I apologise on his behalf. Thank you for accepting my apologies.” Chameleone made a post.
